Salzburg Research Forschungsgesellschaft and St. Virgil Bildungs- und Konferenzzentrum (Education and Conference Centre) invites you to the interdisciplinary conference „Creativity and Innovation Competencies on the Web“, held in Salzburg on May 4th and 5th and geared towards (media) educators, teachers, educational scientists, educational technologists, innovation managers, R&D managers, professional e-learning trainers and everyone interested in e-learning.
Creativity and innovations are two concepts which are very often interpreted differently. However, all approaches have in common the idea of competences that generate creative thinking, action and problem solving. Research on how to stimulate and regulate creative processes and their controllability has gained great significance in all educational sectors and profit and non-profit organisations. In days of digital lifestyle we question the impact of information- und communications technologies and in particular the participative Internet (Web 2.0) on important creativity and innovations processes and competences.
- What is the impact of information technologies and the internet on the generation of new knowledge and innovations?
- What role do brain functions and neurologic processes play in technology based creative processes?
- Swarm Creativity – does the strength of weak ties in digital social networks and communities support the sharing of information and values?
- How prepared is our educational system to meet the innovative demands of the knowledge based society? How do schools, higher and adult education and training in companies live up to that?
- What didactical approaches in E-Learning stimulate innovative competences? Which digital tools and learning environments support problem solving and idea generation, eg. online communities, white boards, digital idea generator, e-books?
- How can the internet and digital space handle freedom and chaos necessary for new traces? How can self-organised creative spaces be designed?
Within the scope of the conference we provide workshops and also an e-portfolio forum (German) to the topics above. Furthermore participants can exchange experiences and didactical improvements in an interactive E-Creativity and E-Innovation market forum.
